Welcoming a New Research Member: Dr. Ahmet Butun

CARE4NEt would like to welcome Dr. Ahmet Butun as a research member to be part of the following strategic themes:

Dr. Ahmet Butun is a Senior lecturer at Mardin Artuklu University, Turkey. His research focuses on Emergency Department (ED) overcrowding, reasons for using the ED for non-urgent childhood illnesses, and developing interventions to reduce non-urgent ED visits. Dr. Butun completed his PhD study at Queen’s University Belfast, UK. His doctoral research focused on exploring parents’ reasons for using the ED for their children with non-urgent conditions in the context of middle-income countries. In addition, Dr. Butun gained methodological expertise in qualitative research and systematic reviews.
